Use the Focus panel to simulate lens focus adjustments. The sharpening controls are for creative use so the sliders can give stronger effects. This article covers the adjustments available in each panel. Note: This article applies to Exposure X, and later versions. Exposure 7 and before only had Focus adjustments. Detail Panel.

X4 is the one I like the most (also tried ON1, Luminar 3, ACDSEE and C1) but find the highlight recovery poor in comparison to the rest of the bunch.I'm interested in knowing what you like more about X4 compared to the others. I'm also looking in to replace Lightroom but I have not made a decision yet. I'm looking at all the software choices you mentioned above plus DXO PL2. I like the interface of X4 the best but I'm not sure if I like the lack of a catalog.Hector.

Alien

It's also fast. The thing with C1 is, that you have to be a rocket scientist to understand the software.I haven't tried DXO as my primary camera is Fuji.

On top of that, the slider buttons are very small. I use my mouse wheel in LR all the time, so that's a feature I need.Did you enable mouse wheel sliders in preferences in Lr or something? I have been clicking in the slider number area and using the up/down arrows so far.I don't think so, but maybe it's a setting? I've been using the scroll wheel so long in LR, I can't remember it not working.

I guess it's preference, but I like it better that way. I've been using the scroll wheel so long in LR, I can't remember it not working. I guess it's preference, but I like it better that way.Too funny. Scroll wheel works for me but I never tried it until now for some reason. I have to click on the slider to enable scroll wheel, and click in the number area to enable up/down arrows. The latter works in most all of my other software but don't know if the scroll wheel does yet. Thanks again for that. I am a photographer and also work for Alien Skin.Exposure already offers a form of tethered shooting support with the monitored folders feature.

You have to use tethering software specific to your camera, but Exposure will then display the images immediately after your camera sends them to your computer during a tethered shoot, once you've set up a monitored folder. I've tried it with a Sony camera and it works well, and have seen it work well with Fuji and Nikon as well. And you can see multiple presets by having Exposure create virtual copies, each with a preset applied. You can learn more in our tutorial video about it:Thanks for this. What about the ability to bring in an image on a new layer that someone mentioned above? Sns85225 wrote:With promo code 'FUJILOVE' you get another 10% off the sale price.Hey, thanks for this promo code!

I'm new to Exposure X and just downloaded everything (all 4) and the promo code worked great including the sale price on the combo that is running through June 4th. Only 3 of the items are offered in the bundle though and the 4th one I had to purchase separately but it was still on sale and the code helped. So for you seasoned users, how much are you using Snap Art and Eye Candy? I have it all now just in case. And how does Blow Up compare to ON1's Resize or AI Gigapixel?
