Lenovo Turn On Wifi
Hello, Sharon:As far as I know there is no dedicated command or short-cut key to toggle WiFi whether on Lenovos or in Windows. The usual way to do it is to open Settings and Network and Internet. You can then choose between 'WiFi' or 'Airplane mode' in the menu to the left. 'WiFi' only concerns WiFi, whereas 'Airplane mode' shuts down/turns on all wireless components.However:a) If you have an older Lenovo ThinkPad (I have a 9-year-old T61) it may have a physical toggle button on its front.

This feature is not available on 'modern' Lenovos, e.g. My 3-year-old Ideapad Y50.b) Some laptops may feature a small icon on one of the top-row keys (the F-row).
The icon looks like a small antenna with radio beams around it. If you want to turn it off all the time, please read your user manual about how to go into the system BIOS and dasabling the WiFi hardware. This is a hardware setup feature from the manufacturer. It is not a Windows 7 feature. My on-screen keyboard and usb keyboard don't have the Fn button and so I cannot switch on my internet. In short, my netbook keyboardis busted. I'm a dinosaur still using XP. Yes I know it's no longer supported, but mine is a hardware challenge and 'change adapter settings' does not appear on xp though my 'use this device' is enabled under adapter properties. I was making do using my phone,but my phone battery expires within 4 hours and of course it's not the same experience on a small screen. Hey Ur probs is simply solved take Ur faulty laptop and connect it to internet with lan or dongleonce Ur faulty laptop is connected to internet take another laptop and connect that too with internet by wan lan or donglenow install a remote access software in both laptops example ammyy(its free)now take ur faulty laptops remote to another laptop and use its fn key for Ur purposeor u can do 1 thingopen run box by typing win+r and type osk there u will find fn key(works in win 7hope Ur solved don't forget to mention thank u.
