Partition Wizard Bad Disk
So for my uncle on his office computer I was upgrading it from XP to Windows 7. Halfway through the install, it restarts, and instead of booting from the USB, boots from the XP cd that unbeknownst to me was still in the CD tray. So installation fails. I go back to the start and try to do a clean install from just the USB this time. Except I don't have the option of partitioning the hard disk.

I see the hard disk, and I see it's size but all the options for partitioning are greyed out. It doesn't have a disk name or anything. I try using windows xp partition manager. It says 'error bad disk'. I try using gparted, 'Input/output error when reading from SDA'. I try using Minitool Partition wizard. 'Bad Disk' and the bar is all black, meaning it's not unallocated, it's not GPT, it's not logical, nothing.What the hell happened?
