Can you disable the Touchpad? Do you have a mouse or wireless mouse receiver plugged into it? Are you using a wireless mouse that has a corresponding keyboard and is your cat sitting on the down arrow button? Is the down arrow button stuck on you. First, I just wanted to clarify, is this a desktop or laptop? (assuming desktop, but assumptions can be wrong.) Second, The active window itself is scrolling down endlessly correct and not the mouse/cursor trying to get to the bottom of the screen? (again with assumptions) Does this issue occur if the window is not the active window?

Mouse Keeps Scrolling Down Automatically

ASUS G75VX-DH72-CA (Windows 8.1)Recently my Laptop has been randomly scrolling down, whether it be just browsing reddit or opening any window with some sort of list. Also when it is occuring in browser I can't type anything in the address bar. I'm completely lost as to what this could be, I've tried different mice, using touchpad only, cleaning the keyboard (pgdn/end/spacebar especially), and countless virus scans. Regardless, it will come back seemingly at random. This has only been occuring the past couple days, and I haven't installed any new programs that I know of.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated!. Open up Word or whatever you use, try to type something (or copy/paste and click somewhere in the middle) - what happens? If you can't put anything into the address bar, I'd be inclined to say your Tab key is stuck, Afaik the arrow keys won't break focus like that. Might be worth cleaning both though. Also your screen (if touchscreen) and touch pad, sometimes if you get ick on them it will register as a touch and do weird stuff.Might also be worth opening the on-screen keyboard from the accessibility menu (or the shortcut, but I've forgotten that) - my N56 will show on the on-screen what keys I'm pressing on the physical kb.Edit: sorry for the double post. Also, just though of it, I think the Elan (I think - the touch pad control software) settings have some sort of autoscroll? Might be worth checking that out.
