Is there a way (a cheat) to eliminate bad weather? Data backup and data snapshot difference iphone. I'm following a large convoy in bad weather, out of torpedos, have sunk the two warship escorts, and now want to drop these tankers and cargo ships with deckgun rounds. But how?I have not installed any patches. I'm using Windows Me, and when patches are installed I can't save games, so I play without any of the patches.I know, I know, Windows Me is not supported, but tell my computer that. It also says Laptops aren't supported either, but my wife is on her 10th mission on her laptop.Anyway.let me know if you know how to turn off bad weather or eliminate it completely. Seems the only time I encounter a convoy is in bad weather.Question for the game designers: Why can't the deckgun be used in bad weather?
I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to hit the target after spending a good 40 minutes calculating speed, bow on angle and numerous other factors and then hearing and seeing the boom of a hit after a tortuous wait for the torpedoes to hit the target. Why limit the use of the deck gun only in good weather? Mean to say a captain in WW2 NEVER used his deck gun because he was in a storm?jtisit@yahoo.com Posted: feb 25, 2007 12:17 pm. The game matches the reality as closely as possible. In even a moderate sea state the deck gun would have not been used due to the risk to the crew, the difficulties in getting the ammo to it from the lockers and the simple fact that it is hard to hit anything from an unstabalised gun on a deck that rolls like a devil. Chasing in a storm is a frustration but that is the fickle nature of this game and again matches the reality. I doudt that you would have had enough ammo to sink more than one even if you could fire.
