The Screamin’ Eagle® Pro Street Performance Tuner is designed to simplify management of engine operating parameters as performance modifications are made.

Once installed, the kit allows you to adjust key parameters or simply upload the latest Engine Control Module (ECM) calibrations to match your bike’s state-of-tune. Start with a high-flow air cleaner and Street Performance mufflers and upload the calibration that provides the best performance mix. Add additional Stage Upgrades later, and you simply upload the proper ECM calibration to match the model and hardware. Plus, you have free online access to the latest factory calibrations. Ideal for real-world street performance applications, the Pro Street Tuner provides the adjustability to account for bike-to-bike variation and for changes to cams, heads, intake and exhaust while maintaining closed-loop fuel control for fuel economy in the part-throttle operating range. Unlike other aftermarket tuners, The Screamin' Eagle® Pro Street Tuner actually talks directly to your motorcycle’s ECM and re-programs the motorcycle’s operating system. It isn’t a piggyback system that tries to fool the ECM into adding more fuel or changing the ignition timing.

The Pro Street Tuner plugs into the bike’s data port, so no splicing or under-seat hardware is required. Rated 5 out of5 byJake1955 fromM8 Trike I did the stage 1 upgrade which the M8 Trike needs in the worst way,ran the SE Tuner with their program it did a good job but were it really kicked in was when i rode the bike with the tuner recording and then down loaded that to the bike,(i did this 3 times),Big Big Difference, more low RPM power,3-4 mpg, better off idle starting,no popping with 41/2 Mufflers, cooler exhaust at the Cat.,Just really pleased with the Stage 1 upgrade and the SE Tuner. Rated 1 out of5 byBubba2422 fromFor Warranty Only Bought this to remain EPA compliant/keep warranty and have to say Im disappointed in the performance of my stage 2.

Looking at the other tuners I stand to gain another 6-9HP and 12-15 torque by switching but of course that voids the warranty. If you dont care about the warranty, there are much better and a lot easier to use out there. The software is cludgy to say the least. HD needs to mimic something like the V&H FP3. Flashing the ecm shouldnt require a laptop and cables any longer.

Hey, a 2018 Breakout is a pretty badass first Harley! You will need the cable (about $30) and a Windows computer. I had issues with installing, I had to unpack (decompress) the main download with Win.rar and then run the.exe file and it installed.

(you may not have to do this). Just double click the.exe and see if it installs. After that, fire it up and the software will guide you through the steps, or watch the videos on the website.A cruise button won't have any effect on the tuning. What you're actually doing is loading in a new map for the fuel injection to put more fuel in the mix. After you load the new map, ride for a while and check your spark plugs. If they're white, you're too lean and you'll need to increase the fuel a bit more. You do this by opening the VE tables (you can link both cylinders to make it easier) and highlight some or all of the table and click the increase button at the top.

Save this as a new file, and then download it into the bike like you did before. You'll still have the first file saved if you want to go back to the previous air/fuel mix. I juiced my Sporty up by 8% and she's running sweet.

After installing my Fullsac Exhaust System (link: Fullsac-Exhaust-System (I had to decide how I wanted to tune my bike. After much consideration of options, I purchased a Screamin' Eagle Street Performance Tuner (p/n 41000008B) and cable (p/n 41000018). You can learn all about it here: Training (is a much more capable system that rumored on the internet. The online training I linked above is great and easy to understand. Here you can see the number of the tuning file I used and the air-fuel ratio table that controls the engine. The closed-loop region of the table is in bold font.

This table can not be edited. That's what makes this the 'street' tuner.

You must run this approved table.5511You can see it goes to 12.8 Air-Fuel Ratio (AFR) at high rpm and high Manifold Air Pressure (MAP). This is when you are opening the throttle for power and 12.8 AFR is perfect for maximum power in gasoline engines. During closed-loop cruising you get clean burning and great fuel economy. Now here's the good part: You can edit the Volumetric Efficiency (VE) and Spark Advance tables for each cylinder, and, you can ride with the small Vehicle Computer Interface (VCI) connected and record performance data. New tuning updates are automatically calculated (Smart Tune) from the data recording using the laptop computer software and then flashed into the Engine Control Module (ECM) through the VCI.

It simply plugs in behind the left side cover. You can also manually adjust Throttle Progressivity to your liking and adjust the Spark Advance based on head temperature if needed to reduce spark knock at high temperatures. So far I just loaded the recommended Stage 1 base tuning file. I selected the option to reset the adaptive fuel trims which erases learned adjustments from previous engine operation. Then I went for a ride.

The bike ran perfectly, no decel popping or any other 'bad' behavior. Throttle response, driveability, and power is excellent as far as I can tell.I'll post some more in a few weeks after I record some road load data and 'Smart Tune' a few times. I also bought the TTS MasterTune tuner.

I wanted to compare TTS to the SE Street Tuner as TTS MasterTune is a more versatile tuner for modified engines and is highly endorsed by top engine tuners. When comparing the recommended AFR targets between the two tuners for Stage 1 bikes, you can see that they are nearly identical (see attached file). Closed-loop operation is in bold font. This similarity points out the fact that the SE Street Tuner will deliver nearly identical results on a Stage 1 bike. That's enough to get me to use the SE Street Tuner and not have to worry about my extended warranty with a reflashed engine controller.5734. This is a little off topic, but the tuner that came with my bike has part number 545671 on the box, but nothing on the tuner itself. Is this the same tuner that you have?Jeckel, that is the previous version of the Pro super tuner.like this one:new one is orange with checkered flags on it.

Same thing just a newer version. Do you have cables with it too?You can get the software and video info here:http://prosupertuner.harley-davidson.com/SuperTuner.aspx. I am reading this thread intently.

The service mgr. At my Harley store I bought from is all about getting as much gas to the engine as needed for my driving desires and is willing to set up a dyno-race tune and flash the ECM to dial in my stage-1 that I have put on. He is familiar with the FL-VIED's and thinks running it a bit richer was a good idea until I decide which tune/tuner to finally settle for. I know several other riders that have bought from them and service techs there believe that a good tune is what its all about.

So I see so many different choices but I am done with the 'speed parts' purchasing and just want the best and coolest performance where I am now. I am leaning towards the Harley sert download. Any thoughts or suggestions.? I got some good thoughts on my posting about head/oil temp.I just have a easy time wrenching and don't like the programming aspects of the tuning process.( looking for the easier softer way ). Will the pro tuner void my warrantyThe (SEPST) Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner will, anything that shows the little stoplight or checkered flags (I forget which) next to it in the parts catalog tells you. Harley has two of tuners in their catalog.

The tuner other than the SEPST wont void your warranty, however it limits what the tech can do where as the SEPST gives them pretty much full access to tune. I put the SEPST on mine after de-catting the bike and adding Fullsac headers. My bike rides phenomenal after I completed my stage 1. The tune, headers and the daymaker headlight were the two most expensive and well worth mods to my bike. Can anyone confirm the length of time the SE Pro Street Tuner can record data in a single riding session?

Also, would it be best to record at least a couple of thousand miles before saving the recorded changes to the existing tune? ThanksYou only need about 15 minutes of data. Just ride a variety of speeds up a big hill several times in different gears to hit a bunch of rpm/load points for a few seconds each. Be sure to warm up the bike up completely first (get the oil hot). Not sure how much data it holds. I never tried to record more than about 20 min.

When you look at the data you can see how many cells you hit. Finally had a chance to take the bike out yesterday and conduct one session of smart tuning with my SEPST. Upon returning from my ride and downloading the recorded data, I noticed that some of the cells had been populated in colors of Aqua blue and Red, although many remained White in color.

Something else I noticed was the front cylinder actually only had one Red cell, while the rear had 10-15 Red cells. I only reached 44% throttle during the data logging session. I'm assuming the goal here is to turn all of the White cells Aqua blue in color? If so, it seems that this will be nearly impossible to do without scheduling a dyno session to be able to see and run the bike at varying throttle positions and then hold those positions for a minimum of 5-10 seconds each. Lastly, does anyone know why some of the cells were Red? Finally had a chance to take the bike out yesterday and conduct one session of smart tuning with my SEPST. I added the H-D wide band auto tuning module and let it do all the work.smart-tune-pro-automatic-tuning-module (https://www.harley-davidson.com/store/smart-tune-pro-automatic-tuning-module).
